Berlin Packaging Canada Corporation (BPCC) is seeking a driven Financial Analyst to join our Finance team in Toronto. This role supports a fast-growing business and refines financial processes.

You will be an excellent analyst with strong business acumen, able to think beyond the scope and understand the big picture while driving value. Key responsibilities include budgeting, multi-channel dashboards, and analyses of ROI and cash flow to guide operational investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant business experience.
• Ability to interface with all functional areas of the company.
• Strong working knowledge of financial statements.
• Advanced Excel with pivot tables and data manipulation; database skills a plus.
• High motivation, drive, self-management and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review and generate insights on financial performance vs budget and prior year with variance and trend analyses.
• Participate in the preparation of annual budgets.
• Develop a multichannel dashboard with operational and financial metrics.
• Enhance analytical tools and reporting to understand changes in product mix and profitability.
• Assess effectiveness of promotions and pricing competitiveness.
• Drive changes in financial and transactional systems and assist in new system implementations.
• Provide ROI and cash flow analyses to support operational investments.

We are seeking a driven and successful Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. This position will play a critical role in supporting a fast-growing business and refine the accompanying financial processes. In addition to being an excellent analyst, we are seeking a candidate with strong business acumen. The candidate will be required to think beyond the immediate scope of the job and understand the larger picture of the company. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Review and generate insights on financial performance as compared to budgeted and prior year activity, including comprehensive variance and trend analysis and explanations.
• Participate in the preparation of annual budgets.
• Develop a multichannel dashboard with operational and financials measurements (customer acquisition, conversion rates, profitability etc.).
• Enhance analytical tools (databases and reporting) to understand change in product mix/profitability.
• Assess effectiveness of promotional activities (including discounting and advertising) and competitiveness of pricing.
• Drive change within the existing financial and transactional systems. Assist in implementing new systems.
• Provide analysis (ROI, Cash Flow) in support of operational investments (warehouse, IT infrastructure etc.).

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• At least 3 years of relevant business experience.
• Ability and desire to interface with all functional areas of the company.
• Strong, working knowledge of financial statements.
• Advanced Excel skills, demonstrated by proven ability to manipulate large amounts of data, create and manage pivot tables and complex formulas; database skills are a plus.
• A high level of motivation, drive, self-management, and effective interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills and strong analytical skills.

Toronto Base Pay Range: $66,000 CAD - $79,000 CAD
