Job summary

CDMV, the Pan-Canadian Distributor of Veterinary Practices, is seeking a Financial Analyst to drive cost price analysis, budgeting, and reporting. You will enhance data quality, support decision-making, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in a related role, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of Power BI. Bilingual French is required, with familiarity in databases and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Fluent in French and good English, both written and spoken.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar financial role.
• Strong knowledge of databases, distribution operations and accounting cycle.
• Advanced Excel skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Thanks to your analytical skills and thoroughness, you will be responsible for the cost price analysis process.

What you'd mainly be responsible for:

• Support the finance team in the development of performance indicators and dashboards;
• Participate in the implementation of the cost price analysis process;
• Participate in the production and analysis of annual operating budgets;
• Participate in the production of management reports that will guide decision-making;
• Ensure cost accuracy and data integrity in the billing system (Oracle);
• Analyze profit margins and explain variances by product and by customer;
• Analyze inventory discrepancies, transaction accuracy in the ERP system and obsolescence.
• Participate in business cases by niches, customers and products;
• Actively participate in the development and implementation of new tools;
• Design, maintain and improve financial models, projections, analyses and processes;
• Master the various operational facets of the entire organization to properly interpret the results.

We would like to meet you if you have:

• A valid (or in the process of obtaining) accounting designation;
• Bilingualism: excellent knowledge of French (verbal and written), as you will be interacting daily with colleagues, customers or suppliers from other provinces;
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position;
• A good knowledge of databases, the management of distribution operations and the accounting cycle;
• A high level of proficiency in Excel software;
• Knowledge of Power BI software;
• Knowledge of the Oracle system is an asset;
• Knowledge of planning tools (e.g. Jedox) is an asset.
