Job description

The Financial Analyst – ABS role supports VCI’s asset-backed securitization (ABS) programs, debt financing, investment accounting, and derivatives portfolios in a team-oriented environment with an emphasis on analysis, documentation, and compliance.

Role Responsibilities :

1. Assist the structuring team in the development and design of ABS programs, including reviewing sections of offering and legal documents, providing data and analysis for asset pool selection and reconciliation, supporting due diligence efforts with external accountants, and supporting requests from treasury, tax, legal, risk management, investment bankers, and outside legal counsel. Additionally, setting up new deals in the ABS Suite systems and finalizing the pool.
2. Maintain accounting and servicing support for ABS transactions under various standards and regulations, including asset selection/removal based on criteria, maintaining ABS systems and records, analyzing pool performance for compliance, preparing reports and filings, and supporting audits and control procedures.
3. Support hedge accounting programs by providing analytics, maintaining models, preparing documentation, testing effectiveness, and reconciling accounts related to interest rate risk management.
4. Investment Accounting involves analyzing monthly activities, supporting portfolio analysis, and testing transactions for internal controls.
5. General responsibilities include supporting financial statement schedules, staying current on accounting standards, improving processes and controls, forecasting debt run-offs and asset amortization, and undertaking special projects.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of professional accounting and financial analysis experience.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Treasury, corporate finance, and/or banking experience.
• Understanding of automotive financing business.
