Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Analyst to support financial reporting, consolidation, audit, tax, and FP&A activities across multiple legal entities in Canada. This 12-month contract may transition to a permanent role based on performance.

The role includes consolidating results, ensuring data integrity between Hyperion and Oracle reports, preparing variance analyses, and assisting with audits and SR&ED claims. Hybrid work culture is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in business, accounting, economics or engineering; working towards accounting designation (CGA/CA/CMA).
• 1–3 years of experience in financial reporting.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and accounting knowledge.
• Knowledge of Oracle / Business Objects / Hyperion or similar ERP/BI tools is an asset.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain high quality work.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate monthly financial results across 10 legal entities (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Reconcile data between Hyperion and Oracle/non-Oracle reports for accuracy.
• Prepare variance analyses and supporting schedules for management.
• Produce quarterly and annual reporting packages for stakeholders.
• Support FP&A with confidential labour and overhead data analyses.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and assist with tax reporting and audits.
• Assist SR&ED claims through financial analysis and reporting support.
• Contribute to year-end schedules and close activities.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Analyst to support financial reporting, consolidation, audit, tax, and FP&A activities across multiple legal entities. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information while supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting processes.

This is a 12-month contract position with strong potential to transition into a permanent role based on business needs and individual performance.

Your role

• Consolidate monthly financial results, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements across 10 legal entities.
• Reconcile financial data between Hyperion and internally generated Oracle and non-Oracle reports to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
• Support risk management initiatives and identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes and controls.
• Prepare Hyperion variance analyses and supporting schedules, providing explanations for key financial fluctuations.
• Produce quarterly and annual reporting packages for management and corporate stakeholders.
• Support the FP&A team with the preparation and analysis of confidential labour and management overhead data.
• Prepare and record monthly journal entries in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Assist with tax reporting, compliance activities, and related financial analysis.
• Support internal and external audit engagements by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests.
• Assist with SR&ED claims through financial analysis, documentation, and reporting support.
• Prepare year-end financial schedules and supporting documentation to facilitate the annual close and audit process.

About you

• Bachelor degree, preferably in business, accounting, economics or engineering and working towards an accounting designation (CGA/CA/CMA).
• 1 to 3 years of experience in financial reporting_._
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel_._
• Strong skills focused on accounting and financial theory_._
• Knowledge of Oracle / Business Object / Hyperion or similar enterprise software is an asset_._
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships_._
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of work_._
• Detail oriented and organized_._
