Job summary

Kia Canada is seeking a Financial Analyst to deliver timely, accurate financial information by researching accounting data and preparing reports. The analyst will analyze G/L accounts and assist in coordinating monthly closing processes and process improvements.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration or accounting with 3–4 years in accounting or FP&A, strong IFRS knowledge, Excel expertise, and SAP familiarity; accounting designation is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or accounting preferred.
  • At least 3–4 years of accounting or financial planning experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial analysis techniques.
  • Solid understanding of financial closing processes and GL flows.
  • Attention to detail with advanced MS Office skills.
  • Pursuing accounting designation would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely analysis of monthly financial results to management to support month and quarter ends.
  • Support annual budgets development, prepare monthly forecasts, and conduct monthly variance analysis.
  • Review and analyze financial accruals and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Assist with monthly Incentive planning financial analysis.
  • Coordinate cross-department reconciliation and validation of Incentives payments.
  • Assist with quarterly reviews and the annual audit process.
  • Participate in establishing/improving accounting processes to ensure best practices.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and perform other duties as requested.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience/Education Requirement
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, and\/or Accounting is preferred
  • At least 3-4 years of experience in accounting and or financial planning role
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (IFRS) and financial analysis techniques
  • Solid understanding of financial closing processes including financial transaction flows from the source to the general ledger
  • Attention to detail with advanced MS office skills
  • Pursuing accounting designation would be an asset
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an asset
  • Salary range: $60,000 - $82,501
