Centurion Canada Ltd. is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to support the Finance team. The role focuses on financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and process improvements, with travel to Calgary and Nanton offices as required. This 1-year contract may convert to permanent and offers hybrid/remote work options.

Ideal candidates have a business degree and 2–4 years of accounting experience, with CPA being an asset. Proficiency in Excel and Sage/QuickBooks Online is advantageous.

Qualifications

• CPA certification is an asset; knowledge of Sage/QuickBooks Online is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support overall financial health by working with the Controller.
• Administer accounting operations per policies and legal requirements.
• Manage general ledger, sub-ledger reconciliations, asset accounting and bank reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable flow to the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations and schedules.
• Maintain accurate financial information within Sage ERP.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Support internal and external audits with required documentation.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Assist in developing and implementing financial policies and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. This is a key position within the organization and an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who is interested in developing. Reporting to and working closely with the Controller, the Financial Analyst will support the overall financial health of the business and play an important role in financial reporting, accounting operations, controls, budgeting, and continuous improvement. This is a 1-year contract with the possibility to convert to a permanent position. Travel to the Calgary office two days per week and to the Nanton office 1 day per week is required.

Core Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Controller to support the overall financial health and performance of the company.
• Administer accounting operations in accordance with corporate policies, accounting standards, and applicable legal requirements.
• Manage general ledger and subledger reconciliations, asset accounting, and bank reconciliations.
• Oversee the flow of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and other accounting records.
• Maintain accurate financial information and records within Sage ERP.
• Prepare trial balances and support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Participate in internal and external financial audits and provide supporting documentation as required.
• Assist with annual budget preparation, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Support the review, development, and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and financial systems.
• Provide additional financial analysis and support to management as required.

Qualifications

• Business Degree required.
• 2-4 years' accounting/finance experience required.
• CPA certification is an asset.
• Knowledge of Sage/QuickBooks Online is an asset.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel is preferred.
