Job summary

Fanshawe College seeks a Financial Aid Advisor to deliver comprehensive, student-centred financial aid advising and navigation across OSAP, bursaries, scholarships and grants. The role focuses on removing barriers to funding, assessing eligibility, and ensuring compliant processing within the College’s policies.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Counselling, Accessibility Services and program teams to support at-risk students, guiding appeals, and presenting financial literacy resources

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of OSAP and other provincial/federal aid programs.
Excellent verbal and written communication with clients and colleagues.
Ability to assess student financial needs and provide informed guidance.

Responsibilities

Advise students on OSAP eligibility, processing timelines and app procedures in in-person and virtual settings.
Liaise with internal/external stakeholders to coordinate student supports and appeals.
Review and adjudicate bursaries, awards and emergency funds with accuracy.
Deliver financial literacy workshops and prepare clear, accessible materials.
