What is the opportunity?

As an RBC Financial Advisor, you will attract, nurture, and grow relationships with high-value personal and small business clients by adding value in key moments. You will provide proactive, professional advice and collaborate with RBC partners to help clients achieve their goals. You should have a broad expertise across banking, investments, and credit, capable of fulfilling a comprehensive Advice Experience for both personal and business needs.

What will you do?

• Demonstrate empathy, kindness, and understanding in all interactions with colleagues and clients.
• Communicate effectively to identify client needs, deliver tailored advice, and resolve concerns promptly.
• Use your advice capabilities and collaborate with RBC partners to address clients’ full range of financial needs.
• Provide professional advice on complex credit and investments, ensuring suitability for client circumstances.
• Promote digital tools by educating clients on self-service options and encouraging channel preference.
• Utilize technology to connect with clients virtually and face-to-face.
• Implement relationship-building strategies to accelerate client acquisition and retention within your community.
• Collaborate with specialists in financial planning, retirement, mortgages, and business banking to deliver customized advice.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course)
• Completed DFSA designation through the Canadian Securities Institute
• 1-2 years of proven sales experience in financial services, handling credit and investments
• Ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships
• Digital literacy across devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops)

Nice-to-have

• Active involvement in developing a local community network
