Title: Financial and Administrative Assistant

Wage: $29.08/hour

General Description:

The Financial/Administrative Assistant performs a key role in supporting the organization’s front-line services and its corporate functions. Reporting to the Office Manager, this position carries out a wide variety of tasks including processing accounts payable and receivable, performing reconciliations, preparing reports, maintaining office supplies inventory, drafting correspondence and purchasing program supplies. As the first point of contact for the Division, the Finance & Administrative Assistant will present a positive and professional image of the organization when interacting with employees, clients, visitors, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Basic bookkeeping experience (Sage50 is desirable).
  • Knowledge of financial practices and processes.
  • Ability to be organized, meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Strong communications skills, written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Post secondary education in office management, business administration or a related field is an asset.

Conditions of Employment:

  • RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Yukon Driver’s Licence.
