Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Systems Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. You will play a critical role in enhancing, supporting, and optimizing our finance systems, especially SAP FICO, while driving IFRS-17 compliance and meaningful process improvements. You will serve as a vital bridge between Finance, Actuarial, and IT, ensuring technology meets both regulatory and operational needs.

What you will do

  • Collaborate with Finance and Accounting teams to gather requirements and define system specifications;
  • Lead workshops and stakeholder meetings to align business needs with SAP system capabilities;
  • Support the implementation and upgrades of SAP functionalities in partnership with IT and vendors;
  • Coordinate testing (SIT & UAT), validate configuration, and ensure IFRS-17 compliance;
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement;
  • Troubleshoot data integrity issues and streamline reporting processes;
  • Create clear documentation , user guides, and training materials for finance systems;
  • Optimize financial workflows and support cross-functional collaboration;
  • Liaise with external vendors for issue resolution and continuous improvement;
  • Ensure end-to-end testing , traceability of policies to data / subledger / historical sources.

What you will bring

  • The experience. 5 to 8 years of experience in financial / business analysis, including 3–5 years in SAP ERP or similar systems. Previous experience in insurance or financial services is highly preferred . Hands-on involvement with IFRS-17 and regulatory compliance. Experience with data analysis, financial modeling, and large datasets. Background in process mapping and financial systems optimization.
  • The education. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • The skills. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Familiarity with Tableau, Looker, Alteryx, Python, or Risk Integrity is an asset. Knowledge of Six Sigma, Agile / Waterfall methodologies, and documentation best practices.
  • The knowledge. Exposure to insurance products (Life, Creditor, Health, Dental). Understanding of actuarial tools, General Ledger functions, and insurance admin systems. Knowledge of financial and regulatory reporting frameworks.
