Job summary

Great-West Lifeco in Canada is seeking a Manager in Corporate Financial Management and Reporting to oversee shared services expenses, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis. You will lead a finance team and drive efficient processes across Risk, Actuarial, Finance, Internal Audit and HR.

The role requires CPA, a university degree, and 3-5 years of leadership in financial reporting with IFRS expertise. Proficiency in SAP/Workiva/Power BI/BPC is advantageous.

Qualifications

• University degree and CPA designation.
• 3-5 years leadership in financial reporting.
• Experience developing or coordinating annual financial plans.
• Strong IFRS knowledge.
• Proficient with MS Office, advanced Excel (pivot, macros).
• SAP/Workiva/Power BI/BPC experience is a plus.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with clear ownership.
• Solid interpersonal skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage, generate and deliver quality internal reporting including variance analysis.
• Coordinate annual financial plans for corporate functions.
• Manage expense allocation and settlement processes.
• Oversee reporting to Board committees including resourcing plans.
• Serve as key business resource for BPC for annual budgets and reporting.
• Support special projects across corporate functions.
• Assess and adopt tools to optimize workflows.
• Lead a team of dedicated finance professionals.
