Emera Inc. is seeking a Co-op, Financial Reporting student for the Winter 2027 term (Jan 4 – Apr 30, 2027) with our Corporate External Reporting team in Halifax, NS.

This 16-week placement offers hands-on experience in financial reporting, consolidations, and quarterly reporting within a dynamic corporate environment. Qualifications

• 2nd–4th year undergraduate accounting student.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel.
• Detail-oriented with good communication.
• Able to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to preparation of sections of quarterly consolidated financial statements and MD&A.
• Participate in month-end consolidation activities including intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist with quarterly reporting deliverables and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
• Support financial reporting and disclosure processes for accuracy and completeness.
• Complete ad hoc projects and analysis to support the Financial Reporting team.
• Assist with other routine and special reporting initiatives during the term.
