Job summary

Emera Inc. is seeking a Co-op, Commercial Services Student for the Winter 2027 term in Halifax.

You will support the Corporate Commercial team with pipeline activity data, rate validation, and invoicing-related tasks while developing your Excel and data management skills in a fast-paced energy trading environment. The position offers hands-on experience in natural gas trading operations, with exposure to pipeline platforms, tariffs, and data processes and opportunities to engage in onboarding

Qualifications

Be a 2nd–4th year undergraduate in Business, Finance, IT or Analytics.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in data entry and validation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

Monitor pipeline notifications and rate changes across multiple platforms.
Prepare and review pipeline rates for data entry, validation, and circulation.
Compile and validate summary data related to pipeline activity and customer usage for invoicing.
Assist in processing documentation and automation.
Provide general support to the Corporate Commercial team as needed.
