Emera Inc. is seeking a Co-op, Internal Audit student for the Winter 2027 term (January 4 – April 30, 2027) in Halifax, NS.
This 16‑week placement offers hands-on experience in a professional internal audit environment, collaborating with CPAs, CIAs, and CISAs across the Emera group of companies. You will gain exposure to risk assessment, compliance, and internal controls, supporting audit engagements, walkthroughs, testing, and the development of practical recommendations.

We are currently seeking a Co-op, Internal Audit student for the Winter 2027 term (January 4 - April 30, 2027)within our Internal Audit team. This 16-week opportunity offers hands‑on experience in a professional internal audit environment, working closely with audit professionals across the Emera group of companies.
In this role, you’ll gain valuable experience working alongside current and prospective CPAs (Chartered Professional Accountants), CIAs (Certified Internal Auditors), and CISAs (Certified Information System Auditors), making this an excellent opportunity to explore a career in audit.

You’re a motivated and detail‑oriented student in your 3rd or 4th year of an undergraduate degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or Accounting, with a strong interest in audit and accounting, looking to develop your professional skills in a collaborative environment.
