Job summary

RNG Immigration Consultancy Ltd seeks a Finance Officer in New Westminster, BC, to join on-site payroll and bookkeeping operations. You will calculate payroll cheques, maintain ledgers, post journal entries and generate financial reports in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of accounting experience, a college diploma, and proficiency with MS Excel, QuickBooks and Simply Accounting. Strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year to less than 2 years of bookkeeping/financial experience.
• College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
• Experience with payroll processing and general financial tasks.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
• Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
• Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
• Post journal entries
• Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
• Prepare tax returns
• Prepare trial balance of books
• Reconcile accounts
