Squamish Personnel based in Squamish, BC is seeking a Bookkeeper who is self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will handle payroll, maintain general ledgers, and prepare financial statements in a permanent, full-time role in Squamish, BC.

Responsibilities include posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, preparing tax returns, and generating reports while working within flexible hours on a day shift.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and clear communication.
• Certificate or diploma in accounting technology, technician, or bookkeeping.
• Ideal candidate has 2–3 years of related experience.
• Candidate must be accurate.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll.
• Calculate fixed assets and depreciation.
• Keep financial records and balance various accounts using manual and computerized systems.
• Maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
• Post journal entries.
• Prepare additional statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
• Prepare tax returns.
• Prepare a trial balance of books.
• Reconcile accounts.
• Prepare payroll.
