BDO in Canada is seeking a Manager in our Toronto or Oakville office to lead financial reporting and accounting operations for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will manage month-end close, consolidate statements, and ensure accuracy and compliance while guiding a junior team.

This role emphasizes process improvement, ERP and BI tool adoption, collaboration with auditors and tax advisors, and building trusted client relationships to deliver high-quality service and insights.

Qualifikationen

• CPA designation completed or in progress.
• Undergraduate degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within public accounting, outsourced accounting, or client service environments.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, month-end close processes, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting.
• Experience preparing and reviewing consolidated financial statements and intercompany reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with a commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and client service.

Aufgaben

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations for a portfolio of clients across industries.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes with variance analysis and reports.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, collections, and payments.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and working capital planning.
• Prepare executive summaries, dashboards, and KPI reports for stakeholders.
• Support public company and complex private enterprise reporting requirements.
