The Role

As a Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency of Gibbons. You will oversee financial reporting, compliance, and team management while fostering a culture aligned with our core values. Your leadership will drive accuracy, timeliness, and strategic financial oversight within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proficiency in understanding financial reporting systems.
• Oversee the preparation and release of financial statement packages by month-end deadlines.
• Oversee year-end financial reporting and compliance requirements.
• Monitor compliance with financial deadlines, including tax filings and license renewals.
• Liaise with corporate and operational counterparts to provide financial information that informs key strategic decisions.

Team management

• Manage the allocation of accounting team resources to achieve financial reporting goals.
• Conduct training sessions to enhance financial knowledge and operational effectiveness.
• Foster a positive team culture through engagement initiatives such as birthday recognitions, social events, and celebrating accomplishments.
• Organize and execute performance reviews for team members to facilitate growth and development.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, core values, and behaviors.

Requirements

• Proven experience in financial management, accounting, or related roles.
• Strong proficiency with financial systems, including POS and accounting software.
• Excellent understanding of financial reporting, compliance, and operational accounting.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop accountants.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• High organizational and administrative excellence.
• Commitment to upholding company values and fostering a positive work environment.
