Job summary

Autism Services of Saskatoon Inc. is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver timely financial reporting to support decision‑making.

The role requires a university degree in accounting/finance and a CPA-style designation, with 3+ years in nonprofit finance and grant management. The position offers a permanent, full-time schedule (35 hours/week) with flexible office/home arrangements and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA/CA/CMA/CGA) preferred; candidates in the process of getting the designation are welcome to apply.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
  • Experience in nonprofit, charitable, or public sector environment preferred.
  • Experience managing grants, restricted funding, and funder reporting is highly desirable.
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Understanding nonprofit financial management and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship management abilities.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, ensuring sound financial management practices, compliance with applicable regulations and funding requirements, and timely reporting to support organizational decision‑making. The Finance Manager reports to the Director of Finance but supervises all other finance staff and provides financial oversight and support to the Office Manager and Human Resources team on finance-related matters.
