What You’ll be Doing

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Manager to lead our Finance function. This role is ideal for a Finance professional ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll work closely with the VP Finance and employees across the organization to support core Finance functions including finance operations, FP&A, compliance, and treasury.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Operations:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with ASPE.
  • Lead the preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for all general ledger accounts.
  • Maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Manage the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions, ensuring efficient processing and adherence to company policies.
  • Coordinate and support external reviews, acting as a primary point of contact and ensuring all required documentation and information are readily available.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

  • Assist the VP Finance in the development, monitoring, and analysis of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management, providing actionable insights into business performance.

Process Improvement & Systems Optimization:

  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements within the finance and accounting functions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Leverage financial systems (e.g., ERP, accounting software) to streamline operations and improve reporting capabilities.

Special Projects and Strategic Initiatives:

  • Act as the "right hand" to the VP Finance, providing analytical support, ad-hoc reporting, and strategic input on key financial decisions.
  • Assist in special projects and initiatives as required to support the overall financial health and strategic objectives of the organization.

What we are looking for

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • CPA designation, or equivalent
  • 3–5 years of experience in a combination of public accounting and industry experience
  • Familiarity with finance systems (e.g. ERP, HRIS, CRM, spend management, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Experience working with SaaS and/or consumption-based revenue models
  • Experience with systems implementations
