Job summary

Sandvik AB in Saskatoon, SK is seeking a permanent, part-time Finance Intern Assistant to join our Finance team for 16 hours per week with flexible scheduling.

You will support Accounts Payable activities including invoice processing, reconciliation, payment preparation, and month-end reporting, helping ensure accuracy and compliance with Sandvik processes. This role offers hands-on experience in a professional finance environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting, AP and general ledger processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and code them accurately, focusing on prepayments, utilities, and consumables.
• Match purchase orders and receipts to invoices.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve issues.
• Prepare weekly payment runs (cheques, ACH, wires) as needed.
• Support month-end close including reconciliations and reporting.
• Assist with accruals and month-end entries.
