Job summary

Grimsby Power Incorporated is seeking a Director of Finance to provide strategic leadership over finance, accounting, billing, and HR administration for a local electricity distributor in Grimsby, Ontario. You will guide financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, and capital planning, reporting to the President and CEO.

The role oversees debt management, budgeting, audits, and regulatory submissions, including OEB reports, with responsibilities for staff development and cross-functional

Qualifications

• CPA designation and management training demonstrate financial leadership requirements.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and regulatory acumen are essential for utility finance.
• Proven ability to lead teams in fast paced, high-volume environments; excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the President/CEO to craft strategic and regulatory plans.
• Oversee debt issuance, liquidity, and relationships with lenders and rating agencies.
• Direct accounting, billing, HR, and internal control systems for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate external audits and respond to audit findings.
• Lead workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, and development in finance.
