Job summary

The Jewish Community Centre (JCC) in Toronto is seeking a Finance Director on a maternity leave cover to lead the financial management of the Schwartz/Reisman Centre and Prosserman JCC. You will oversee the Finance team and partner with the CFO, senior management, and the board to ensure sound fiscal decision-making.

This in-person, 12-14 month role manages budgeting, GAAP reporting, cash flow, and investments, with a current operating budget of upwards of $35 million, offering a dynamic,

Qualifications

• CA/CGA designation or equivalent and CPA considered.
• 5+ years leading finance staff and operations.
• Experience in not-for-profit context is an asset.
• Advanced MS Office plus ERP/database experience.
• Strong English communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial and business operations of SRC and PJCC, including the Finance team.
• Lead annual budgeting, long-term planning, reforecasting, and capital budgeting.
• Deliver GAAP-compliant monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Provide financial insights to CFO, senior management, and Board.
• Manage cash flow, forecasting, and departmental/project accounting.
• Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger and monitor investments.
