Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Finance Intern for a 12-month term to support financial management, budgeting, and accounting efforts. You will help develop and implement policies and practices while collaborating with the business services division management to ensure accurate reporting and timely financial information.

The ideal candidate is enrolled in a bachelor's program in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or Accounting with a goal to become a CPA and can commit full-time for 12 months

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or Accounting with a CPA pursuit.
• Willingness to commit full-time for 12 months starting May/June 2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of financial management policies and practices.
• Support budget control processes and accounting activities.
• Collect, verify and report accounting information to the vertical head.
• Provide professional analytical and management support tasks.
• Assist in monthly or weekly financial reports.
• Develop and utilize spreadsheets, databases and other computer applications.
• Enter information into the financial accounting system.

Job description

We are looking for a self-driven and competent Finance intern to join our team for a period of 1 year. As a Finance Intern at our company, your main responsibility will be focusing on helping in the development and implementation of policies and practices for financial management, budget control and accounting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works under the supervision of the business services division management and must follow the accounting or auditing process
• Collect, understand process, verify and report accounting related information to his/her vertical head
• Be given professional analytical and management support work assignments
• Assistance may be required in the preparation of monthly or weekly financial reports
• Develop and utilize spreadsheets, databases and other computer application
• Manage specialized information, reports, forms dealing with fees, billing, tracking of project, etc.
• Enter information into the financial accounting system of the company

Compensation:

• The compensation range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $21.63-23.69CAD
