Science North is seeking a Finance Clerk to join the finance team in Ontario. The role offers 12–18 hours per week with flexible scheduling around other commitments. The contract runs until June 30, 2027, with potential extension.

Progression in the position may lead to higher level responsibilities as a Finance Assistant at a higher pay rate.
The position involves work during normal office hours 12-18 hours per week, the work offers flexible scheduling around course schedules or other commitments. This is a contract opportunity until June 30, 2027 with opportunity for extension.
The successful candidate will work with accounting staff to ensure that day-to-day financial and accounting functions are performed. Tasks include preparation of daily and weekly revenue summaries and journal entries, recording of revenue transactions, completion of associated paperwork, data entry, filing, and a variety of other financial and clerical tasks.
We are seeking a well organized, thorough and detail oriented individual who has the ability to work with limited supervision, accuracy and speed in data entry and is able to analyze problems and identify solutions. Requirements include the completion of general accounting courses with special consideration being given to individuals who are continuing their education towards a career in the accounting field. The successful candidate will also have a solid understanding of bookkeeping basics and be familiar with computerized accounting systems and spreadsheets.
