Socket.dev is hiring a Finance Business Process Specialist to own core finance processes in Oracle Cloud ERP. You will bridge Finance and IT to ensure data integrity, controls, and automation across the finance function.

This role collaborates across departments and geographies to optimize workflows with SOX controls in mind. The position emphasizes governance, SOP development, and cross-functional projects, with mobility for meetings and training as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business/finance/operations or related field required.
• 5+ years of experience in process management, transformation or operations.
• Experience with large ERP systems, preferably Oracle Cloud ERP, and process improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the SME for assigned Finance business processes ensuring end-to-end integrity across entities and geographies.
• Lead process reviews and audits to verify policy and regulatory compliance; coordinate remediation as needed.
• Oversee master data governance in Oracle Cloud, including COA and cost center structures.
• Identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities; develop business cases and roadmaps.
• Develop training materials and SOPs for Finance processes and Oracle Cloud functionality; deliver knowledge-sharing sessions.

Job description

The Finance Business Process Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end ownership, governance, and continuous improvement of core finance business processes including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Intercompany and Financial Close and Consolidations with a primary focus on the Oracle Cloud ERP platform. This role bridges between Finance operations and Information Technology, ensuring that system configurations, data integrity standards, and process controls are aligned with organizational objectives while driving automation and efficiency across the Finance function. Collaborates with other BPO’s to ensure that processes and solutions are optimized across all work streams.

The compensation for this role will be commensurate based on education and/or experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Serves as the primary subject matter expert for assigned Finance business processes, ensuring end-to-end process integrity across all Badger entities and geographies.
• Leads periodic process reviews and audits to verify compliance with organizational policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements; coordinates remediation plans as needed.
• Oversees master data governance within Oracle Cloud — including chart of accounts, and cost center structures — ensuring accuracy and timely maintenance.
• Proactively identifies inefficiencies and automation opportunities across Finance workflows, developing business cases and implementation roadmaps for approved improvements.
• Leads or participates in cross-functional process improvement initiatives, coordinating with Shared Services, IT, Procurement, and Operations to streamline workflows.
• Develops training materials and SOPs for Finance processes and Oracle Cloud functionality; delivers knowledge-sharing sessions to build consistent proficiency across the Finance team.
• Responds to ad hoc Finance data requests and prepares process performance reports for leadership, leveraging Oracle Cloud and Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) reporting tools.

What You'll Need For Success:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, operations, or related field required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in process management, transformation, or operations.
• Experience with large ERP systems (Oracle Cloud ERP preferred) and process improvement methodologies.
• Proven track record in process documentation, SOP development, and implementing process improvements in a Finance environment.
• Experience with OTBI or similar reporting tools is a plus.Familiarity with SOX compliance, internal controls, and financial audit processes.
• Experience interfacing with senior-level stakeholders.
• The role requires mobility within work environments, use of office equipment, lifting up to 20 pounds, clear vision and hearing, effective communication skills, and occasional travel for meetings and training sessions.
