Job description

Company: Precision Drilling

Location: Houston, TX

Summary

This position will work closely with the Assistant Controller and report directly to the Senior Analyst, assisting with daily bank reconciliations, month-end reporting and analysis, budget and forecast planning, and year-end reporting requirements.

Responsibilities Include

1. Assist with the month-end close process
2. Prepare and post journal entries, code corrections and accruals as required
3. Prepare monthly reports to management explaining variances to Budget/Forecast
4. Perform monthly analysis of assigned general ledger accounts
5. Perform bank reconciliations
6. Collaborate with Field Operations Managers and Superintendents to understand expense variances
7. Continually looking for ways to improve the department and organization
8. Assist in preparing year-end reporting requirements for Tax and Corporate Accounting
9. Assist with the preparation of the Budget/Forecast
10. Prepare ad hoc reports as required by field operations, management, and corporate personnel
11. Participate in various special projects as needed
12. Must be willing to work overtime during month-end close as needed
13. Must follow company policies and department procedures

5. Must possess strong knowledge of Excel
