Job summary

Socket.dev in Saskatoon (Hybrid) seeks a Manager, Finance & Accounting to lead daily accounting operations and drive financial reporting excellence across Canada and the U.S. You will partner with the VP, Finance to strengthen controls and deliver timely insights for decision-making.

You will guide budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis, while developing the Finance team and implementing process improvements through automation and systems upgrades.

Qualifications

• CPA designation preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
• Experience leading accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close.
• Proven people leadership and team development experience.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including general ledger, reconciliations, payables, receivables, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual statements and management reporting packages.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure Canadian and U.S. accounting, tax, and regulatory compliance.
