Job summary

The Fastener Group Ltd. is seeking an experienced Accountant to oversee the financial operations of the Calgary location, reporting to the Corporate Controller.

The role emphasizes financial reporting, internal controls, and leadership of the finance team, with NetSuite expertise preferred. Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, tax compliance, and system improvements to support growth across Western and Central Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Experience in fasteners, tools or safety industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and compliance across the location.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team; oversee AP/AR and general accounting functions.
