Job summary

SLC Management is a growing global asset management firm seeking a Senior Associate, Finance for a 12-month contract in Toronto. The role supports legal entity accounting, reporting, and control processes, including ME P data inputs, with exposure to month-end and quarter-end closes.

The ideal candidate has a finance background with CPA preferred, strong communication, and a track record in financial analysis, SAP experience, and proficiency with Excel and BI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a finance background (5–7 years)
• CPA/CA/CMA/CGA designation strongly preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to summarize details for stakeholders
• Self-starter with ability to drive progress and deliverables
• Strong problem solving and time management skills
• Keen attention to detail with a mindset for improvements
• Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
• Experience with financial reporting systems; SAP preferred
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; Power BI/Tableau is a plus
• Experience in financial institutions, asset management is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly and quarterly finance functions including close, reconciliations, and analytics
• Prepare and post journal entries in SAP ensuring accuracy
• Assist in preparing legal entity financial statements and analyze variances
• Support regulatory reporting requirements and excess capital calculations
• Coordinate audits with internal stakeholders and provide requested materials
• Collaborate with teams to operationalize new processes and document workflows
• Identify and implement process efficiencies and automation opportunities
• Establish and maintain robust governance and financial controls
