Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Equipment Technician for our Film & TV division in Burnaby.

You will ensure lighting and production gear are clean, functional, and ready for film sets, working closely with operations and rental teams to gain valuable hands-on skills with professional-grade equipment. The role emphasizes hands-on work in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities for growth into operations or service management and a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of film industry equipment is an asset.
• Experience with rental software is helpful.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, and prepare lighting and production equipment for rental.
• Process equipment safely and efficiently to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform basic repairs on lighting units and accessories.
• Use small tools and apply proper repair techniques.
• Identify equipment misuse and report concerns to the Triage Supervisor.
• Complete Loss & Damage forms for review and pricing.
• Route electronic repair needs to the Electronics Technician.
• Assist other internal departments as required.
• Organize warehouse shelving and maintain a neat, accessible workspace.
• Identify and reallocate sub-rental equipment to the correct area.
• Operate warehouse machinery (forklift, order picker, pallet jack) — training provided.
• Follow all WCB and Sunbelt safety policies.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Base Pay Range

22.89 - 31.47
