Job summary

Discovery Silver is seeking an experienced IT/OT support specialist to maintain the Dome site’s operational technology networks and data systems, ensuring reliable two-way radio, telemetry, Blast PED, and fleet management connectivity. You will work with service providers’ field engineers and operations teams to keep systems running smoothly.

Responsibilities include incident management (L1–L2), asset management, changes to field technology services, and safeguarding safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent.
• Valid G driver's license is required.
• Understanding of ITIL cross-functional management processes.
• Broad knowledge of technology infrastructure performance, scalability, maintainability, deployment and operations.
• 3–5 years in technical roles including technology management.
• Customer relationship experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical support for OT and data systems.
• Ensure two-way radio, telemetry, Blast PED, GPS and fleet systems availability.
• Coordinate with service providers' field engineers and operations.
• Manage incidents with level 1-2 support and escalation.
• Implement changes for field technology services and equipment.
• Maintain asset inventory and documentation; ensure safety procedures.

The Position

Provide day to day technical support on services relating to operational technology and data systems. Support two-way radio, telemetry, Blast PED system, Cap lamp and fleet management network etc.. Manage relationship with service providers’ field engineers and operation.

Key Responsibilities

Safety and Regulatory / Policy Compliance

• Adhere Discovery's safety policy and procedures.
• Consistently demonstrate and encourage safe work practices.
• Support regulatory and corporate compliance initiatives as they pertain to information and content assets.

Incident Management

• Provide support for infrastructure and fleet management wireless system and remote devices.
• Ensure availability of two-way radio communication service in our operational area.
• Provide level 1 and 2 system support for incidents and provide resolution ,where appropriate escape to the supervisor.
• Execute change for field technology services and related equipment.
• Tracks related technology issues, coordinates resolution and assists in driving issues to closure

Request Fulfilment

• Provide support for two-way radio programming request.
• Configure and activate additional services on two-way radio system, fleet management system, Blast PED, Telemetry and GPS Augmentation.
• Facilitate and if required install and configure on board equipment requests

Asset Management

• Manage operational technology network and computing assets
• Work with service providers to provide timely repair and system maintenance.
• Ensure all necessary safety procedures are followed during technology support.
• Ensure equipment inventory and design documentation is always updated.

Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or the equivalent.
• Valid "G" driver's license
• Understanding of ITIL Cross functional management process.
• Broad knowledge of all technology considerations (performance, scalability, maintainability, deployment, operations, technology infrastructure).
• Between 3 to 5 years work experience in technical roles including Technology Management.
• Customer relationship experience.
