Job summary

GEMTEC, une entreprise en pleine croissance, recherche un Technicien / Technologue de Terrain pour son bureau de Mississauga, Ontario, à partir de l'automne 2024. Le candidat idéal aura des compétences en tests de matériaux et inspections et devra être capable de superviser des opérations sur le terrain. Cette position comprend des tâches variées en bureau, laboratoire et sur le terrain, avec des possibilités à temps partiel ou plein dans le cadre d'un contrat de diplômé.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a College Level Diploma is considered an asset.
• Experience with materials testing and inspection.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Field testing and sampling of aggregates, soils, concrete, and asphalt.
• Subgrade and foundation inspections.
• Supervising a drill rig.

GEMTEC is a growing firm with offices throughout Atlantic Canada and in Ontario, and we are looking for a motivated and skilled Field Technician / Technologist to join our Team. We currently have an opening for a Field Technician / Technologist in our Mississauga, ON office for the Fall 2024 season.

The successful candidate will have the following :

Educational & Experience Requirements :

• Graduated from a College Level Diploma is considered an asset.
• Experience with materials testing and inspection.
• Experience working with computer assisted drafting (CAD) and surveying is considered an asset.
• Experience working in civil construction is considered an asset.

Main Duties :

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in the following :

• Field testing and sampling of aggregates, soils, concrete, and asphalt.
• Subgrade and foundation inspections.
• Supervising a drill rig
• Various office, laboratory, and field tasks related to materials testing.
• Other duties as required.

Position :

• Part-time / Full-time starting Fall 2024
• Graduate Contract positions September – December 2024
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
