Your work environment at EXP

At EXP, we’re looking for a driven professional to be a part of our Environment/Earth Science - Geotechnical team, based in our Sudbury office. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of impactful projects in the region.

What a Day At EXP Looks Like

1. Conduct soil identification and classification.
2. Monitor site grading activities, including limited surveying tasks.
3. Perform in situ density and compaction testing.
4. Sample and test concrete, mortar, grout, and asphalt.
5. Conduct soil and groundwater sampling and analysis.
6. Collaborate closely with contractors, consultants, and municipal personnel.
7. Receive training and provide support in the concrete and soils laboratory.

What Your Experience Looks Like

1. College diploma in architecture, construction, civil engineering, or environmental sciences.
2. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
3. Familiarity with MTO, CSA, CCIL, and ASTM procedures is preferred but not mandatory.
4. Previous relevant experience, including co-op work terms, is an asset.
5. Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to job sites throughout Southern Ontario (mileage and expenses reimbursed).
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
