Job summary

Ottawa Safety Council in Brockville seeks a Team Lead to support the Adult Crossing Guard program during school hours. You will work in the field at intersections, provide on-site and remote support, train new guards, and coordinate with the office to ensure safety and efficiency.

Requirements include a valid First Aid CPR-C, a clean police check, a valid driver’s license and vehicle access, and strong communication skills. Intermittent travel and shifts during school hours are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be available at all Brockville intersections.
• English proficiency required.
• Driver's license and access to a vehicle.
• Valid Standard First Aid with CPR C certification.
• Police Records Check with Vulnerable Sector required.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of an Adult Crossing Guard when needed.
• Provide on-site and remote support to Brockville teams.
• Visit sites as requested by the Office.
• Communicate effectively with Crossing Guards and staff.
• Train and coach new Crossing Guards.
• Report absenteeism or performance issues to the Program Manager.
• Distribute and retrieve equipment; manage rewards and incentives.
• Cover shifts as needed and comply with safety requirements.
