Job summary

Alberta Public Service in Lethbridge seeks a Field Support Technologist to administer highway maintenance contracts, audit activities, and support asset management programs. You will ensure compliance with standards and safety while maintaining asset data and supporting program delivery.

The role requires a two-year technical diploma with multiple years of related experience and strong knowledge of road construction practices, PMA-M, Impromptu, TIMS, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical diploma and four years related experience or equivalent.
• Road design, highway construction/maintenance and contract administration knowledge.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Collect, maintain, and update asset inventory and condition data.
• Provide technical expertise in Highway Maintenance Contract administration.
• Conduct field inspections of highway maintenance activities for safety and compliance.
• Assist in contracts, service agreements, and consultant agreements.
• Contribute to development of maintenance policies and long-term plans.
• Support Highway Clean-up and Adopt a Highway programs.
