Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Field Services Technician in Barrie, ON to install, modify, and maintain equipment across vehicles, facilities, and infrastructure. The role involves pulling cabling, mounting hardware, and working with 12V/48V systems in a field setting.

Travel to customer sites is required with a company vehicle. The position offers on-call rotations after training, with overtime pay opportunities and a competitive compensation package of $50,000–$60,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with hand tools experience.
• Experience around vehicles, equipment or industrial facilities.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Independent, resourceful and self-motivated.
• Comfortable in a field-based environment.
• Experience with 12V/48V electrical systems is a plus.
• Experience with 2-way radios is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, and maintain equipment in vehicles, facilities, and infrastructure.
• Pull and run cabling for communications equipment and related systems.
• Perform drilling, mounting, and hardware installations.
• Troubleshoot issues in the field and develop practical solutions independently.
• Work with 12V and 48V systems.
• Travel between customer sites using a company-provided vehicle.
• Participate in an on-call rotation after the training period for overtime pay opportunities.
