Application Information

We are seeking energetic individuals to join the Saskatoon Housing Authority team. If you enjoy working in a non-routine environment, take pride in providing high-quality customer service, janitorial care, and maintenance repair, please consider this opportunity.

This is an in-scope position. The successful candidate will support and cover properties as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Perform and coordinate janitorial duties promptly while ensuring tenant safety and security.
2. Assess the condition of all property components (structure, mechanical, cosmetic, etc.).
3. Perform necessary repairs efficiently.
4. Coordinate damage repairs and oversee outside contractor work.
5. Communicate effectively and respectfully with tenants, SHA management, and staff.
6. Verify work completion and ensure compliance with Residential Standards Codes.
7. Maintain properties, including janitorial duties for inside common areas and exterior grounds, snow removal, and yard care.
8. Manage maintenance service requests, after-hours emergencies, and collaborate with maintenance staff and contractors to ensure timely completion.
9. Prepare vacant units for occupancy, including move-outs and move-ins, coordinating with contractors, Tenant Services, and Maintenance departments.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of general maintenance and cleaning experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Integrity and strong work ethics.
• Willingness to work non-standard hours.
• Valid Driver's License and a roadworthy vehicle.
• Ability and willingness to provide your own hand tools.

• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, communication).
