Security Systems Field Service Technician

Multiple Locations: Calgary (AB), Port Coquitlam and Vancouver Island (Victoria/Nanaimo) (BC), Ottawa (ON)

Full-Time | Onsite | Direct Hire

️ This role requires on-site work at project/site locations. Candidates must be willing to relocate if outside of these provinces.

Our client is one of the world’s largest protective service providers, specializing in video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, fire systems, and integrated security solutions. As a leading systems integrator and alarm monitoring company, they deliver high-value security solutions to long-term clients, safeguarding their people, assets, and operations.

We are seeking Field Service Technicians to join this dynamic team and support security system installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain electronic security systems (access control, video surveillance, alarms, etc.).
• Respond to service calls based on priority and resolve system issues efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with company standards while performing installations and repairs.
• Provide expert recommendations to clients regarding system usage and maintenance.
• Document service activities, issue reports, and maintain inventory of repair parts.
• Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Required Qualifications

Certification (Must have at least one): Lenel, AMAG, Avigilon, Milestone (required for Ottawa), Genetec, C-Cure (required for Ottawa), Alarm.com. (Ottawa location requires Lenel OnGuard and Milestone certifications)

Experience: Minimum 3 years of recent field service or installation experience in an electronic security company.

Logistics & Working Conditions

• Candidates must be willing to relocate to any of the required areas if outside of the map.
• Eligible to work in Canada without restrictions (Citizens and valid PR holders will be prioritized)
• Ability to work on-call on a rotational basis, covering after-hours & weekend emergency calls.
• Ability to work on call and out of town when necessary
• Climb ladders that extend up to 24 ft. in height
• Carry items up to 75 pounds.
• Experience preferred in working with boom and scissor lifts
