Job summary

BCES Global is seeking a skilled and safety‑driven Field Service Technician (NETA) to join our growing team. You will perform testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical power systems across industrial, commercial, utility, and institutional environments.

Willingness to travel to job sites across North America, strong understanding of NETA standards, and hands‑on experience with HV/LV equipment are essential.

Qualifications

• EET, EIT or P.Eng with direct experience preferably in an industrial electrical environment.
• Hands‑on experience with power system testing, commissioning, or maintenance.
• Current or previous NETA/NICET Level II, III, or IV certification (or equivalent experience with intent to certify) is considered a strong asset.
• Strong understanding of NETA standards, electrical theory, and power distribution equipment.
• Ability to analyze test data and produce detailed technical documentation.
• A commitment to safety, accuracy, and high‑quality workmanship.
• Willingness to travel to job sites within your region and throughout North America.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing, maintenance testing, and system commissioning in accordance with NETA standards.
• Test and diagnose low‑, medium‑, and high‑voltage electrical equipment, including breakers, transformers, relays, switchgear, and protective systems.
• Conduct electrical studies, analyze test data, and prepare accurate technical reports.
• Support system upgrades, retrofits, and power system troubleshooting in both planned and emergency scenarios.
• Ensure all work meets safety, regulatory, and quality‑assurance requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to deliver reliable, client‑focused solutions.

WHAT WE NEED

Compensation ranges may vary based on individual experience. Final offers may differ from the posted range depending on a candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, geographic location, and the specific role offered. This role includes overtime and double time eligibility in addition to the base rate.

Compensation Range: $50 CAD - $65 CAD
