Job summary

MasterTech is seeking experienced Mechanics/Technicians for field service in the Guelph, Fergus, Erin, and Orangeville area in Ontario. The role covers maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs of drilling equipment in shop and field environments.

Travel is required mainly throughout Southern Ontario with occasional trips to Western Canada. Typical shift is day shift, Monday to Friday, and on the clock when dispatched from home to field work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience on off-road heavy equipment (mining, construction, forestry, drills, aerial, earthmoving, etc.) and/or diesel trucks/automotive.
• Licensed Technician with 310T, 421A, 425A, 310S, or Apprentices/experienced/non-licensed technicians may apply.
• Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Willingness to travel overnight for assignments.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on drilling equipment in shop and field.
• Travel regionally across Southern Ontario, with occasional Western Canada assignments.

Education

Licensed Technician licenses (310T, 421A, 425A, 310S)

Job description

MasterTech is on the search for experienced Mechanics/Technicians throughout the Guelph, Fergus, Erin, and Orangeville Ontario area.

This is a Field Service Tecnician opportunity. Travel is required mainly throughout Southern Ontario, and occasionally throughout Western Canada. Work includes maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to drilling equipment in shop and field environments. Field Technicians can expect most field work throughout the GTA and surrounding towns, and shop work out of Mt. Forest, ON.

Compensation:

• $35.00 - $55.00/hour based on related experience, training, certifications, etc.
• Excellent benefits plan, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
• RRSP match.
• Per diem when on travel assignments. Travel time and costs compensated.
• Service vehicle, gas card, and brand new tools provided.

Shift:

• Day shift, Monday to Friday.
• On the clock when dispatched from home to field service work.

Key Qualifications:

• 3 or more years of experience working on off-road heavy equipment (mining, construction, forestry, drills, aerial, earthmoving, etc.) and/or diesel trucks, and automotive
• Licensed Technician (310T, 421A, 425A, 310S), Apprentices, or experienced/non-licensed Technicians can apply.
• Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Highly proficient with electrical is preferred to secure higher wages.
• About to commit to overnight travel assignments when needed.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
