Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Field Service professional to support control systems on large-scale papermaking equipment across North America. You will join our Services team and apply your programming and engineering skills on-site at customer facilities.

You will provide on-site repair or preventive maintenance, troubleshoot PLC programming with Rockwell software, and generate high-quality field reports with improvement recommendations.

Qualifications

• Two- to four-year degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Controls Engineering, or related field; three to five years minimum experience in a technical role within papermaking or related field.
• For those with a Controls background, understanding of PLC programming with knowledge of Rockwell software is a plus.

Responsibilities

What you'll need:

• A two or four-year degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Controls Engineering, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Papermaking Technology, or a related field;three to five years minimum experience ina technical role within the papermaking industry or a related technical field; or equivalentcombination of education and experience. For those with a Controls background, understanding of PLC programming with knowledge of Rockwell software a plus.

• Understanding of PLC programming with knowledge of Rockwell software. Knowledge ofpapermaking machinery a plus, but not required. We're willing to work with and train the right individual for their career at Valmet.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must be eligible to travel in Mexico and Canada.
