Job summary

The candidate will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform audits and preventive maintenance, and deliver clear repair explanations and recommendations. Travel is substantial, with up to 70–80% domestic travel; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant mechanical and field service experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with working electrical knowledge.
• Ability to work independently in customer environments.
• Solid understanding of OSHA and site-specific safety requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Independently install, service, maintain, and troubleshoot Smurfit Westrock equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
• Perform machinery audits, preventative maintenance, and service visits independently.
• Train customer operators and maintenance personnel effectively.
• Clearly explain repairs performed and preventive recommendations.
• Conduct exit reviews with customers to ensure satisfaction and alignment.
• Ensure service reports, customer signatures, and expense reports are completed accurately.
• Communicate status, issues, and recommendations proactively to Service Management.
• Adhere to utilization targets while maintaining service quality and safety.
