Job summary

Eaton Group in Canada is seeking a field service engineer to install, startup, maintain and repair electrical power distribution equipment. You will provide technical training, scheduling and support to customers, delivering technical solutions and ensuring safety standards are met.

The role involves working across installations, upgrades, and service calls with travel to customer sites and occasional US training.

Qualifications

The expected annual salary range for this role is $69,000 - $87,000 per year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

The primary purpose of this position: is to provide field service engineering and technical assistance to customers in areas of installation, startup, maintenance, repair, training and modification on power transmission, distribution and generation equipment and systems.

Qualifications:

What will make you successful? The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in Electrical Engineering or a related field. They should be skilled in evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems. Strong analytical aptitude and complex problem-solving skills are essential. The ability to manage and successfully execute multiple projects simultaneously with a demonstrated accountability for outcomes is required.

Basic Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems.
• Business travel to customer sites required, utilizing company vehicle.
• Required to travel to United States for training on safety and Eaton products.
• Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working towards their Red Seal 309A
• Certified Engineering Technologist (CET)
• Experience in protective relays preferred.
• Experience in performing power quality measurements, troubleshooting, and analysis preferred.
