Job Description

Role Summary : Responsible for servicing automation equipment remotely and at customer facilities, focusing on resolving customer issues to enhance loyalty and revenue. Will prepare service reports, develop system knowledge, and support system lifecycle management through system build and service rotations.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and adjust mechanical equipment at customer sites.
  • Report and correct abnormal equipment conditions.
  • Support operational and troubleshooting knowledge development.
  • Review and suggest tools or equipment for better operation.
  • Recommend repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Travel domestically and internationally for support.
  • Lead on-site teams and liaise with customers and project managers.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and resolve technical issues.
  • Follow safety regulations and complete detailed service reports.
  • Ensure customer issues are resolved and follow-up is conducted.
  • Participate in on-call rotations.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Gather technical information for service scope preparation.
  • Manage warranty claims and coordinate service projects.
  • Assist with other assignments and stay updated on products and equipment.
  • Maintain professionalism and adhere to company procedures.

Qualifications

Education : Post-secondary diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, Tool & Die Maker, Millwright, MTBI, or similar. Design experience is a plus.

Experience : At least five years in servicing or building high-speed automation systems. Proficiency in pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, reading engineering drawings, and MS Office is required. Strong communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot quickly are essential.
