If so, join our growing team as a Field Service Technician.

Our Field Service Technicians act as the face of STERIS by ensuring top-notch service for our customers. In this role, you will travel to hospitals, laboratories, surgical facilities, and other Customer locations to maintain, troubleshoot, service, and provide calibration and installation support on complex mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic units. Building positive relationships with Customers and colleagues and completing administrative tasks are also key responsibilities.

Skills and Experience

• HVAC repair, Mechanics and maintenance, Refrigeration, Appliance repair, Washer repair, Industrial boilers and chillers, Industrial equipment repair, Diesel and automotive engine repair, Aviation repair, Plumbing and electrical work, Steam, water, and condensate systems, Pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive Customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on STERIS products using standard and specialized tools.
• Troubleshoot, repair, modify, overhaul, or refurbish equipment and systems.
• Ensure positive Customer experience through timely service and installations.
• Maintain effective communication with Customers and internal teams.
• Identify sales opportunities and promote STERIS products/services.
• Provide informative status updates to Customers.
• Represent STERIS positively at Customer sites.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years in a mechanical/technical role.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record and required vaccines.
• Ability to travel for training and work flexible hours.
• Strong technical, organizational, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and handle changing priorities.
• Willingness to work in hospital settings with potential exposure to emergency trauma.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or related field.
