Sandvik Mining is seeking a Field Service Electrician to service electrical systems on mining equipment in Western Canada. The role includes commissioning, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance at customer sites, with a 14-days-on/14-days-off schedule.
The successful candidate will hold a Red Seal license in Heavy Duty Electrician, have mining equipment experience, and be willing to travel across Western Canada.

The Mechanical Cutting division at Sandvik Mining specializes in advanced underground mining technology, delivering high-performance cutting systems for production and roadway development. This includes a range of equipment such as continuous miners, bolter miners, borer miners, and related cutting systems designed to enhance productivity, safety, and reliability. With expertise in precision engineering and long-term collaboration with key mining partners, Mechanical Cutting plays a key role in driving operational efficiency on major projects such as the BHP Jansen Potash Project.
At Sandvik, the Field Service Electrician is responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical aspects of Electric mining equipment and components according to defined specifications. The Red Seal Electrician is also responsible for new equipment commissioning and training at customer sites. Complies with safety policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements. Responsibility to identify and report any unsafe work habits, workplace incidents and/or near misses. Perform risk assessments (“Take Five”) prior to each task. Maintains hand tools and equipment to ensure safe operation. Attend Environmental, Health and Safety related trainings.
