Job summary

Securitas Canada Limited is seeking a Field Security Supervisor for the Peel and Halton region. You will independently manage, establish, and review work schedules, matching available guards to posts while controlling costs through effective scheduling strategies.

This full-time role requires coordinating daily shifts, ensuring site coverage, and communicating with District Management and guards across the GTA.

Qualifications

• Highschool or College Diploma.
• 1–2 years of security/field supervision experience with scheduling.
• Clean driving abstract with G Class licence.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and consult with District Management, Supervisors, Security Guards across GTA and York Region for site support.
• Maintain site coverage; track time-off requests to ensure coverage; respond to emergencies and absences.
• Act as first point of contact for inquiries and verify health & safety of guards in the GTA.
• Escalate unsafe conditions as needed.
• Data entry for timekeeping, payroll, and billing data.

Overview

As a Field Security Supervisor for the Peel and Halton region areas, you will be responsible for independently managing, establishing, maintaining, and reviewing work schedules. You would match available guards to posts, notify employees of schedules and changes and control costs through the implementation of effective scheduling strategies.

This position is for a permanent full-time vacancy.

Hours of Work

2 weekRotational Days and Overnights (12 Hour Continental)

Salary

$20.00/hr

Key Job Duties

• Communicate and consult with District Management, Supervisors, Security Guards across Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and York Region for your specific sites to provide support for various operational issues.
• Always maintains site coverage; tracks requests for time off including vacation and personal leave requests to ensure site coverage; responds to emergency situations, call‑ offs, and absences to ensure that client sites have coverage; acts as call in center for remote posts.
• Function as first point of contact for inquiries, provide resolutions, as well as confirming the health & Safety of Security guards in the GTA.
• Escalate issues as appropriate, including unsafe working conditions.
• Prompt and accurate data entry for applications such as WFM for accurate timekeeping, payroll, and billing data
• Maintains current knowledge of site contracts and requirements of Security Guard training, availability and time worked.
• Coordinates the daily schedules and assignments of supervisory staff, briefs supervisors on changes to post schedules and new Security Guard schedules when required.
• Advises management of openings as they occur; matches Security Guards with site requirements and qualifications.

Requirements

• Highschool or College Diploma
• Minimum of one 1-2 years of related experience in the security industry as a Mobile Supervisor or Field Supervisor with experience in scheduling.
• Detail oriented.
• Clean driving abstract with no pending tickets, convictions, accidents etc.
• G Class Drivers Licence.
• Solid customer service skills and results orientation
• Effective communication and people skills
• Strong customer service and results orientation
• Proficient in use of various software applications including MS Word, Excel, and email.
