Job summary

Securitas Canada Limited is hiring Mobile Security Guards in the Toronto area. You will hold a G2 license, carry a clean driver record, and provide excellent customer service while monitoring sites such as cemeteries and banks. Shifts include days, afternoons, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• First Aid and CPR certification are required.
• G2 driver's license with a 5-year clean abstract preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of mobile security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to alarms and security incidents at client sites across Toronto.
• Perform safety checks and maintenance of company vehicles.
• Log arrivals/departures and other data promptly.
• De-escalate situations and involve law enforcement when necessary.
• Patrol assigned areas in marked vehicles as required.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure prompt resolution.

Position Overview:

We are looking for Mobile Security Guards for positions in the Toronto area. You will have a clean drivers abstract and strong knowledge of the various routes and roads around Toronto. You are someone that enjoys long shifts and working in a variety of sites including cemeteries. You have a knack for providing excellent customer service and desire to respond and resolve incidents at our client sites. You can work a variety of shifts including days, afternoons, nights and weekends.

Wages: $19.32/hr

Location: Toronto Area

Shift timings: All Shifts including Days, Afternoons, Nights and Weekends are 12 hours. No 8 hour shifts available.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Respond to alarms, security violations/breaches, property damage and trespassers at various sites across the city including banks, technology centres and cemeteries.
• Perform safety checks and maintenance of company vehicles.
• Log all arrivals and departures and other data promptly.
• Respond to vagrants and de-escalate as much as possible, deter trespassers away from the client site.
• Patrol assigned areas when required in marked vehicles.
• Respond to all emergencies and ensure they are resolved promptly.
• Escalate emergencies to law enforcement when required.
• Identify and report any security risks or hazards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Ontario Security License
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
• G2 Drivers Licence minimum with a 5-year clean driver abstract.
• 1 year of mobile security experienced strongly preferred.
• Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.
• Ability to drive-in all-weather conditions and time of day including overnights.
• Ability to de-escalate situations and involve law enforcement where necessary.
• Strong knowledge of the city of Toronto including streets, routes, highways and the ability to navigate alternate routes to respond faster.
• Knowledge of Google Maps or Apple Maps for navigation.
