Job summary

IDEXX is seeking a Field Sales Veterinary Diagnostic Consultant to build relationships with veterinary customers and promote IDEXX’s diagnostic portfolio. You’ll drive diagnostic revenue in your territory with consultative selling and support clinics, labs, and education initiatives.

You will travel within Central & Northern Ontario, train staff, attend trade shows, and collaborate with regional colleagues to close capital equipment deals while upholding IDEXX values and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of proven outside sales territory management.
• Experience in veterinary/animal health or medical device sales preferred.
• Team oriented in a collaborative sales environment.
• Extensive car travel, some overnight travel, weekend work may be required; valid driver's license.
• Comfortable working in veterinary clinic and hospital environments.
• Reside within or relocate to Central & Northern Ontario territory (Barrie & Colllingwood areas).

Responsibilities

• Independently manage territory and grow recurring diagnostic revenue.
• Collaborate with IDEXX sales peers to close capital equipment and technology.
• Educate and train veterinary clinic staff on products, services, and marketing initiatives.
• Communicate customer needs and competitive issues to marketing and management; assist lab operations as needed.
• Represent IDEXX values professionally and stay informed about the industry, customers, and processes.
• Attend trade shows and regional educational events.
• Manage expenses and resources per company guidelines.
• Adhere to IDEXX purpose and guiding principles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
